The service enables users to search for local businesses and other POIs (Points of Interest) directly on the map. Currently supporting search for restaurants, bars, and other food-related businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area, GeoSpot Beta will expand to other categories and geographies over the time. In the field of local search services, GeoSpot differentiates itself by offering search that is more flexible, deeper, and interconnected, allowing people to “search and explore” on the map instead of just “search, find (or not find) and leave” paradigm. In addition, consumers can search for places that are open right now or at a specific hour. Consumers may be looking for a pizza or Chinese restaurant that is still open late night, but not many would search for supermarkets where these businesses are often located. There is no search service today that provides such critical functionality. For more information, visit www.GeoSpot.com.
